Funny

I had to write down two things Layla said today that I can't stop laughing about:

  • We were grocery shopping and she loves to weigh things in the little scales in the produce section. She weighed a package of nuts and then told me, "Whew, that was heavy! It tooked a lot of muscles! It's a good thing I ate my pancakes this morning!"
  • She has been on a kick lately where she keeps asking me to leave her home alone. She insists that "I can take care of myself" and swears she wouldn't be scared to be home alone (ya right!). I asked her who would make her lunch if she was home alone and she said, "Oh, well I can just open the pantry and ..." (at this point I'm expecting her to say that she can eat whatever she can reach on the shelf, but instead she says), "eat whatever I want!" So now I finally know why she wants to stay home alone ... so she can have full reign of the pantry! Ha, ha!
  • I would also like to add that ever since we grounded her from playing with friends for a day she has been much more well behaved! She hasn't been grounded since and has had no problem getting in the bath. In fact, the night after the bath/grounding incident, at bath time she said, "Bath time really isn't that bad." Then the next night after that she didn't want to get in and Mitch said, "Remember, you said that bath time really isn't that bad," and then Layla said, "Oh ya!" and got in the bath. Silly girl. Also, over the weekend Mitch, Layla, Marcus and I went and played arcade games at Boondocks. Layla loved it and kept asking me all day today when we can go back. It was a fun family memory.
