I made Layla a Ladybug costume for Halloween (with a little help from my Grandma. Thanks again, GG!). I'm not a great seamstress, but I've always thought that homemade Halloween costumes are the cutest so I decided to give it a try. And since Layla is too young to decide on a costume herself, I decided that she should be a Ladybug. Or Laylabug, as I like to say.
But maybe she should have been a lamb. Because now she says "baa, baa" all the time. She just started saying it on Sunday. (B is her first consonant.) Only it sounds more like, "blaa, blaa" because her long lizard tongue always gets in the way. Ha, ha.
We still need to get the hilariousness on video. I can't help but laugh every.single.time she says blaa, blaa.
Maybe she should have been a lamb so she could say blaa, blaa while wearing a lamb costume. But don't you think she makes a cute Laylabug??? (I do wish the antennas would stand up straight! You can't really see them in these pics, but they're cute, I promise.)

Oh, and we took Layla to visit her great grandma at the old folks home. We had her dressed in her costume. Some older guy there thought she was dressed up as a space alien. It was super funny.
